A peek into my DMs from months ago, today I was reminded of this quick exchange.
Why? Because it's a Monday in the middle of July and I'm helping build a business (Capto) that is primarily European-focused. Out of offices are twice as abundant, the pace of response is twice as slow (even on contracted engagements), and yet the pressure is on to keep a fast pace even still.
The cool part still? Milestones that we knew would come are arriving, they just happen to be occurring a few months after we planned them to 😅.
So here's what we're doing:
🏃➡️We're combining business with pleasure and storytelling along the way to keep things constant - Alexis Chevallot's AI Motorbike Tour had plenty of personal detours, ICYMI
🏃➡️Planning work is now full force - now that we have a breather, it's time for me to focus on my strategy, meetups, and content that's going to power our North American expansion this fall with all the lessons learned from our progress in Europe
🏃➡️Still powering through - in many cases, delivery (open rates) are down but engagement (click-thru + response) rates are up, the meetings that we are having are that much more productive as they come under less of a pressured time crunch as well
What's the point of this post? A quick shoutout to the others who are working through the quiet loneliness of (checks watch) 11pm on a Monday, if you wake up tomorrow still at it and excited for what's to come, there's plenty of progress to be made!
See you all tomorrow first thing,
Peter
