A reminder that AI is the destination, not the starting point.

A reminder from today’s call.
Spoke with a founder of an accounting firm in Belgium.

Small team.
Big ambition.
Highly regulated.

We talked about AI.
But we didn’t start with AI.

We started with:
✔ Tools
✔ Processes
✔ Reporting
✔ What’s still manual
✔ What’s unclear

At some point I asked:
“If you had to explain everything to a new joiner, how long?”

Answer: “A few hours.”

That’s the starting point.

If you can’t explain it,
Agentic AI won’t matter.

In finance (and compliance especially),
Trust beats speed.

Clarity → Automation → Agents.
That’s how it scales.
