CFOs, forgive me… I have sinned.
And honestly? It was fun 😅

This Sunday, we’re opening the summer season.
And in France, another season is already being prepared:
The Champagne harvest.

I grew up doing the vendanges, and there was always one thing that felt messy:
Tracking the harvest properly.

Which vineyard should be prioritized based on grape readiness?
Which team should go where, depending on size and complexity?
How many crates left each vineyard, and at what time?
How do we reconcile what was harvested with what arrived at the press?
How do we calculate payments based on all of the above?
These are just a few of the challenges I experienced personally.

For years, I wanted to use what I know about automation for the industry I grew up around.
I just didn’t know how. Until I met Caroline

This morning, I was genuinely excited to see our team deliver a simple but powerful platform that helps answer all these questions.
Less paper.
Better tracking.
Automated steps where possible.
And simpler workflows where automation is not the full answer.

We even added a small gamification layer for team leaders:
Time spent.
Deliveries sent.
Crates completed during the harvest.
A small thought for the younger me who would have loved to see this back then.

Anyway, I’m now looking forward to the harvest.
In the meantime, I’ll go back to supporting CFOs 🙂

Have a great Wednesday,
Alexis
