I'm an analogy guy, it's kind of my thing. Ask anyone who knows or has worked with me.
When it comes to be one of your primary techniques for communicating - I'll be honest, some land right away and others take a minute to digest😅.
Over the past few weeks of calls about Capto, this one stuck. I think because it's well representative of where the market for AI agents is right now - or that we are in the process of healing from.
Finance departments can assign an internal SME, build out their Claude usage and 𝒋𝒂𝒚𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌 their way across the street with generic DIY AI:
🚶In "low traffic" or less mission-critical "neighborhoods", it's less risky.
🚶Once you do it, you gain the confidence to do it again, doesn't seem too bad.
🚶You can probably get away with it many times, before you get some type of ticket or minor infraction.
🚛The real punishment doesn't lie in day-to-day - it's a truck that comes out of nowhere and when you weren't paying attention... (sorry for the gory image).
Custom built AI by professional developers knows there's crosswalks and rules for a reason - it also respects them more.
So if I'm by myself and there's no one around - maybe you're still guaranteed to catch me rushing across the street and I might get away with it too.
But if there's precious cargo in tow, high traffic areas, when the stakes are higher - I'll stand and wait for the light to change knowing I'm mostly gauranteed to make it safely to the other side.
Safety first,
Peter
