Bulgaria continues to surprise me.
From water innovation to healthcare progress and AI adoption, yesterday's "Meet the CEO" event by the Belgium Bulgaria Luxembourg Business Club was a reminder of how much is happening here.
As Capto recently joined the Club, it felt special to reflect on how much support we've received from clients in Belgium and Luxembourg since our very first year.
Yesterday, for the occasion, I was welcomed to be part of meet the CEO...
And such a nice crowd to be part of:
Theodora Borissova - Who drove the conversation with some nice insights from each businesses represented.
Diyana Dimitrova - Representing United Bulgarian Bank, which gave a nice intro on how is going the Bulgarian economy... many lights are green, let's grow!
Pepo Tonov - Representing Devin JSC, or obviously, why do we have such great water sources in Bulgaria, natural and how advanced actually Bulgaria is for health and water with added benefits.
Todorka Beleva, - Representing UCB, where it was super interesting to see the progress made in Bulgaria for the vaccin calendar and how things are going since COVID on that aspect.
Finally, I also tried to be insghtful in my own way :) few elements:
1️⃣ AI is still in an early maturity phase. Even leaders like OpenAI and Anthropic are gradually moving away from the most ambitious expectations that were initially set. My estimate: businesses will need another 5 years before AI reaches broad, mature adoption.
2️⃣ SLM vs LLM, or how a smaller intelligence can make a bigger impact, more secure and with more tangible results, especially with Capto leveraging 5 years of practice and best practices.
3️⃣ How Open Source AI Agents combined with automation and RPA are currently delivering some of the most practical and impactful results for businesses.
4️⃣ Fun fact - how actually my first steps in Bulgaria and the foundation of Capto were made from Beden, a village a few kilometers away from Devin.
This and much more... there is actually a character limit I don't want to go over on Fridays 😅
So much happened this week, I might do other posts today... still wishing you a great weekend to you all!
Alexis
P.S. if you want to work with us, connect with me, we still have capacities and are growing the team!
