How tokens might become more important than the barrel?

10 years from now…
We might track the token more closely than the barrel.

While the ecomomy is caughing when the barrel gets unstable…
Imagine a world where 50% of global output is generated by AI Agents.

A world where, not only the energy is a limited input, coming from drills but tokens represents the main resource, not humans anymore and depends on a few models, depending themselves on few softwares to manage their whole infrastructure…

Or even depending on a few submarine cables or a satellite company…

We can see all the dependencies that have been already experienced over the past few years, but extrapolating the impact by imagining that these token will now represent the equivalent of a continent in term of workforce.

Tokens will be tracked like gas consumption per million dollars.
Think about the pressure on energy, and where it comes from.
