We truly were the cobbler’s children until a few months ago…
And here are a few honest reasons NOT to automate.
But we are getting new shoes this Friday!
At Capto, here is why we were not automating ourselves:
1️⃣ Scale: As we often tell clients: if there is no real ROI (and not only financial), why bother?
Most of our internal finance operations were simply too small.
2️⃣ Visibility: Everything was fragmented. Invoices on Revolut. Accounting mostly on the accountant’s side. Documents spread across Google Drive.
Hard to automate chaos you can’t even clearly see.
3️⃣ Quality: I personally tested many of the “5-minute automation” tools.
Yes, they are good. But not at doing what's needed.
Fast forward to today:
Scale: We now manage dozens clients, follow-ups, invoicing flows, reporting… The ROI is obvious. 💵
Visibility: Thanks to Florian Linz, we now have real dashboards, reporting, and visibility across operations. Honestly, a few “simple Excels” already saved us more than €2,000. That’s a lot of champagne for the team 🥂
Quality: Well… now we have some of the most experienced developers for these exact financial operations internally. So now I challenge them and for once… a bit less than with client projects so they can breathe 🙊
Friday, Lyubomir and the team locked the deadline. And yes… we will have our own AI employee... WAIT... not the LinkedIn fantasy version.
As we always tell clients pragmatically and transparently:
this is the result of continuous improvements, structuring, analysis, and iteration.
Now we are deploying a big step. Then many more steps will follow.
Will keep you updated.
