Can we joke about it yet? Has the dust settled? Or does this sting to much because people are even still trying to figure out the changes?
Soooo Microsoft Microsoft Copilot rolled out new tiers, usage based pricing, and altogether changes. Which means now everyone needs to figure out again what they are paying for, what they need, uhggg.
Make no mistake, this isn't just a Microsoft or Copilot thing. It happens with most vendors. Now your time is diverted to renegotiating, recalculating, and at best seeing minimal change to your costs. Licenses aren't only expensive some times, they are unpredictable at all times.
So what's more of a PITA? (acronym of the day) Constantly having to go back and forth with an outside vendor or simply staying on top of your own costs and maintenance to own.
Besides the straightforward advantage of ownership. Addressing this pain is one of the main drivers of recent Capto engagements.
You might be surprised at what AI agents can be built for you to own instead of rent, the unique processes they can handle end-to-end instead of limited, how quickly it can be deployed... and what this all costs vs. your current license bills (especially in the long run).
