One major AI headline at a time, please
Next week we’ll talk about how Dario Amodei and Sam Altman are so graciously slowing down because AI is going to end the world - or maybe it’s a way of managing expectations 👀. Anyways...
Even if it means we are behind the trending news cycle, we have a habit of letting the dust settle before sharing our thoughts...
Which means for this newsletter edition you’ll need to “think back” (10 days ago!) to the release of GPT-6 Astra.
OpenAI’s latest model release, which boasts stronger support for automation, multi-step workflows, and coding - - some might think this would make a company that “builds custom AI agents” start to sweat...
In actuality, we’ve been here before and wrote frequently on the topic earlier in the year when Claude Cowork (+DIY Agents) was also having its moment... oh and years before that when everyone was going to become a “citizen developer”. Best of matching posts, FYI: #1 + #2 + #3 + #4 + #5
Time to bring it all full circle. Better models make it faster and easier for people to build things (yes, us too!) --> what this compounds are the importance of things that matter most when you place AI into a Finance department... accuracy, compliance, security, and auditability.
Package it all in a model where you own what’s custom-made for your processes/data/systems vs. renting from others... and that’s why as the models get stronger, so does the demand for what we do.
Capto
Company updates worth highlighting.
It was a holiday week after all - for so many of our fans and network of followers who are Bulgarian, a belated Happy Unification Day!
More clips from the celebrations - Catch up with two more shares from our 5-year anniversary celebration in Bansko! Featuring Svetla Miteva and Georgi Tonchev (our special featured guest!)
Takeaways from 20+ coffee meetings in Sofia - More about AI, Bulgaria, Finance, and networking all in one!
AI Automation... doesn’t start with AI - it starts with a human conversation and that’s where RedBrick Accounting’s client journey is beginning with us (follow along for more updates on this series!).
Luxembourg, we’re headed back your way! - Meeting slots are still available to catch up with Alexis when he is visiting next week.

You
Doing our part in a community-based approach where our feeds, inboxes, and meetings are the source for learning and happiness.
Call us sentimental and also because we already used the phrase “citizen developers” once in this newsletter - Ian Barkin had us reminiscing of the good ol’ days when no one accused an RPA firm of one day wiping out humankind. (for all our RPA friends on the distribution 😉)
