As a (small) team we’re on pace to have a total of 3-4 million annual impressions of our daily content on LinkedIn. However, we’ve pretty much given up on obsessing about engagement or for a tricky algorithm. We post what we enjoy - a mixture of - highlights from our daily discussions with Finance leaders, adventures building our business, spicy takes on headlines, and something to laugh about too.

Here’s an example why. Two weeks ago Alexis posted about our experience getting hit with $150 in AI processing costs for a single report... a simple cautionary tale for all CFOs!

On the surface a routine number of “likes” or comments - - yet not seen is the post was privately shared, saved, and viewed by tens of thousands!!!

...BTW, now we also see the topic of AI token spend accelerating within our network and client base.

Moral of the story. Don’t believe only what you see. Sometimes the most valuable updates are the ones your peers are consuming privately.

How do you know what’s actually trending?

P.S. we can share about optimizing AI costs too

Company updates worth highlighting.

  • AI Imposters! Not quite, but we do often get asked to clarify and we have good reason.

  • Reconciliation is forever an issue for CFOs. One story, one agent, and one preview of what we’ll be writing about next.

  • For Alexis, it’s mostly Asian food and boating equipment. Every organization is challenged by expenses.

  • What is an AI agent? Let’s clear things up with a simplified explanation.

  • You all don’t talk about Tax teams enough! Wait, seriously? We’re all about it, in case you didn’t know.

  • Why do we need continuous service of our AI and automation processes? When Microsoft decides to make an update that breaks things, Lyubomir and team fix it before anyone even notices.

  • Milestones and celebrations continue from last week! Happy 40th to our community leader, Peter!

  • Here’s a list of all the things that happened NOT on LinkedIn. Our content slowed down a bit for good reasons.
