What does a CFO really want to know before saying yes to an AI vendor?
As an “AI” & automation partner myself, I hear variations of these questions all the time. Here are our answers 👇
1️⃣ We start with a real process, a limited budget and measurable outcomes, then you decide whether the economics (& experience) justify scaling.
2️⃣ You own the data, code and documentation, and our goal is that you can run and maintain the AI agent without being locked into Capto or anyone else for that matter.
3️⃣ We calculate ROI using your actual volumes, costs and assumptions, not an optimistic benchmark we bring from elsewhere.
4️⃣ We dont sell “efficiency” in the abstract, we identify the specific cost, revenue or working-capital line that should move, and measure it.
5️⃣ The best AI agent doesn't create another tool for your team to learn; it removes work from the tools and processes they already use.
From the post, and all credits here to Christopher Mulgrew (thank you for the share), there is an optional 6th question:
The one I hear the most:
6️⃣ How do you make sure it is correct?
That is impossible with pure AI, and we correct that almost entirely to the way we structure an Agent, the way it remembers how to do a specific task.
The one I wish CFO (& CIO) would realize more often:
6️⃣ Who own the Agent which is basically a new "workforce"?
You. We believe businesses should own their "Artificial" workforce, because this is a huge part of the benefit of AI, or a huge risk of it.
So yeah... hope this is helpful and enable as many of you CFOs out there to get some experience and see what to pay attention to!
If you see this one Christopher, thanks for sharing the experience!
Have a great day,
Alexis
