I’m not rich. Some might say cheap even? But today I paid more for something that I normally wouldn’t.
It was for a local household service provider who’s pitch literally started with - “we’re bootstrapped and ANTI-private equity”.
Everything they said next landed me hook-line-sinker:
✅No pressure or quotas (aka over-the-top sales tactics)
✅If you’re not satisfied, you have a direct line to the people accountable
✅But that’s less likely to happen because we pay and treat our employees fairly, the work that they do is better and with more pride
✅Decision making is independent, again - problems we sort it out directly - change of terms or scope nothing is ever “out of our hands” to remedy or adjust
✅The local fair? The sports fields? Yep you see us on all the banners there because we support our local community.
In a world full of dreamers and big exits, X accounts evangelizing how now is the time to roll up local HVAC businesses to “optimize” their operations (aka the opposite of above)… there’s a rebellious wave of others quietly building sustainable bootstrapped business models and extending these benefits to their clients - regardless of the industry or product.
Even in technology.
Obligatory TAG: Capto! Same principles and treatment of our clients applies.
DM Alexis Chevallot or I if you need a partner to build out your AI agents and automation projects, but one that treats you like a neighbor and not a number on a spreadsheet.
P.S. the “extra cost” vs. the cheapest alternative... 10% more… worth it? right?
