Isn't the whole point to make (or save) it?
Glad to hear that once internal AI costs start hitting multiple 7-figures per quarter, now is the time to put in-place some basic guardrails.
Not to only poke fun at ZoomInfo but this is a story we see play out at organizations of all shapes and sizes. While we’ve at least made our way past the “token spend-a-thons” that made headlines earlier this year - there’s still lingering signals of people who want to spend money on AI - just to spend money on AI.
We’ve written before that you don’t need a half a billion $ budget and can learn from our own mistakes on AI processing costs.
A common thread and best practices from our client experiences:
Your first phases most often don’t require AI at all, set the foundation with sound logic-based automations.
You’ll be surprised how far you get without AI. Properly engineered, we see many processes handle tasks with 70-75% efficiency.
Ask yourself, is this good enough as-is? Know what the value of the remaining 25-30% holds, along with the risks of running a fully autonomous agent.
Moving ahead, great, just make sure you’re not only doing it safely - but in an optimized way. Whether that’s selecting the right model, when it’s actually necessary, or even more creative solutions like local and open source deployments.
Don’t be one of the people who wakes up realizing the hard way that this isn’t a competition for who can spend the most on AI... but who can make their organizations the most effective with (or without) it!
Ready for AI that’s pragmatic and practical?
We’re here for you.

Proud to be part of a fast growing ecosystem - celebrating our headquarters becoming the fastest growing nation in the Balkans according to StartupBlink.
Nobody wants a demo, they want their Tuesday back - Finance leaders aren’t anti-AI & automation, they are against the project that comes with it.
CFO input needed - big and generic OR precise and tool-based? help us decide what use-cases we should post next.
What is RPA in Finance? Not to intentionally talk about “the past“ as it’s an important advantage when building AI agents.

On brand for this week’s newsletter. We’ve probably highlighted a post from Wayne Butterfield before, because as someone who shares experience from the RPA-days, let’s just say he gets it... “The goal isn’t to use the most advanced technology. It’s to deliver the right outcome at the right cost.“ *chefs kiss*
