Europe Is Waking Up to Data Sovereignty and Custom AI

Things are moving. Europe is waking up… maybe. 🇪🇺
Yesterday, I had a call where, for once, the requirements were clear: European AI! European hosting!

Our selections are always flexible and first based on client and use-case needs. This will continue to be the case.

But I've always thought... How can we build a European ecosystem around:
▶️ Talents
▶️ Tech stacks
▶️ Infrastructure
▶️ Solutions
▶️ Services
…if we keep relying on non-European providers?

I'll be honest. At Capto, we've been using European solutions, and sometimes, the switch is painful.

The feeling? Going backwards.

But here's what I've also seen firsthand: demand is growing, and the quality of European solutions is improving with it.

Yesterday, Mistral was explicitly required as the AI backbone for our Capto Agents.

To me, that's important. Not just for the European tech ecosystem, but also for security, sovereignty, and our ability to control the technology we build on.
